RomeConcerts promotes Opera and Classical Music by staging in the Heart of Rome, a Concert Season that takes place from the beginning of March to the end of November every week, uninterruptedly.
Founded by the tenor Alessandro Fantini and the pianist Giovanni Velluti, two Roman musicians, with international careers, RomeConcerts aims to bring high quality Classical Music Concerts and Opera in Rome, in the full Heart of the City.
We are quality addicted and we trust in the real Italian Style.
The Italian Style is made of astonishing creativity and abundance so, if during the Aperitivo which follows the concert you like our prosecco please ask for some more. No problem if you want one more glass, not at all.
We don't want the spectators complaining about paying different fares for sitting
in the First Row or in the Seventh, because even the Last One is so close to the
The point is only to understand if you prefer to have a more inclusive glance from a thirty feet distance or if you want to stay in front of the musicians just at a three feet distance.
Our venue is small and intimate and nevertheless allows up to seventy five people.
Giovanni and Alessandro are used to ten times larger venues in their concerts
(apart from the TV shows).
Giovanni performed in an Open Air concert in Bologna with the Soprano Katia Ricciarelli having four thousand people crowded in a big Piazza, and Alessandro sang in some of the major Italian and European opera houses, among which the Teatro Comunale in Florence, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Opéra-Comique in Paris.
But our aim is to allow you to live an experience as it was during the nineteenth century Grand Tour.
To have something like a private concert in which you can nearly touch the performers and so be involved in something we could call a 3D concert.
Why a recital with piano accompaniment?
In the greatest seasons of concerts (Metropolitan NY, Covent Garden London, Santa Cecilia Rome, Scala Milan, etc.) a singers concert will be accompanied only by complete orchestra or piano solo. No string quartets, strings and piano and so on.
That's the state of the art!
Featuring classics of Italian Opera and romantic piano music, the concert Opera Greatest Hits will take you on a musical journey you will treasure. After the concert you can enjoy an aperitivo with the artists and get to know the people behind the music. No Italian event is truly complete without a glass in your hand and some quality socialising!
One of Giacomo Puccini's masterpieces, Tosca, is undoubtedly the Roman opera par excellence. The story takes place in Rome, at the time of the fall of the first Roman Republic on a precise date: Saturday, June 14, 1800, the day of the Battle of Marengo. The first act is set in the church of Sant'Andrea della Valle, the second in Palazzo Farnese and the third in Castel Sant'Angelo.
The concert Classical Italian Songs is a musical journey through the most beautiful Classical Italian Songs of the greatest composers, like Gioacchino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizetti, up to “Arrivederci Roma” passing through Giuseppe Verdi, Francesco Paolo Tosti, and the greatest Neapolitan songs; all performed with RomeConcerts high quality standards.
